This stunning Peckham townhouse instantly caught my eye when it was featured on Att Pynta, a wonderful site brimming with Scandinavian homewares and inspiration. Home to writer Jo Boissevain and artist Dirk Larsen, who have recently relocated to South London from Bristol, it oozes style from top to bottom.
What I love most is how the couple have successfully incorporated a range of influences into the interiors. Jo inherited an interest in design from her father, a Dutch architect, and she and her family have travelled extensively, picking up ideas from Europe and beyond. The result is a blend of clean lines, Bohemian touches and splashes of bright colour; it’s a look that Jo dubs ‘London funky’, and it works brilliantly in the elegant Victorian rooms of her new home.
Throughout, painted floorboards, white walls and upholstery in various shades of grey provide the perfect backdrop for vibrant furniture and artwork. Perhaps most eye-catching are the fuchsia-pink drawers in the bedroom, and the Andy Warhol Mao print hanging above the marble fireplace in the lounge.
But despite their sleek good looks, the rooms are infused warmth and character. The dining area is particularly inviting, with a rustic wooden table and shelves stacked with books.
All in all, it’s stylish, welcoming and packed with personality – exactly what a home should be!

A fabulous home. I love the vibrant drawers in the bedroom – such a stylish feature, really gives the room a lift. I love the rustic dining table, its so inviting and homely. The beautiful shutters and delicate flowers just add a softness and touch of elegance. Perfectly balanced home :O)
